    Women's Handball World Championship 2015 is played in Denmark from the 5th. - the 20th. of december 2015, and Næstved is chosen as one of the 4 hosting cities. In Næstved matches will be played from the 5th. of december till the 13th. of december.

You can learn more and experience the history at the Danish Castle Centre, located next to one of Denmarks' landmarks - The Goose Tower. Today, the city contains several cafes and shops in the shopping street Algade. Vordingborg buzzes with music and activities when events like Vordingborg Festive Week (Festuge), the International Waves Theater Festival, Open Air Cinema, the International Food Festival and the children festival Wild Vulcanos (Vilde Vulkaner) takes places.
